In 1977, Richard Anthony Hewson formed his legendary synth-boogie outfit, The RAH Band. Over the following decade, he had a string of hit pop records such as ‘The Crunch’, ‘Clouds Across The Moon’, and the then lesser known ‘Messages From The Stars’ (which in recent years has become a viral sensation on TikTok), as well as club hits ‘Falcon’ and ‘Slide’.Although The RAH Band had taken the pop and dance charts by storm throughout the ‘70s and ‘80s, unbelievably they had never performed live as a band before… until now!

On 11th June 2022, history was made as The RAH Band performed live, for the first time in over 40 years, to a packed out crowd at The Jazz Cafe in London.Richard’s son Dan Hewson, who’s followed in his father’s footsteps as a professional musician, assembled a team of exceptional musicians to bring his father’s musical legacy to the stage for the first time. Richard himself performed, working his magic on a sampler, and a surprise guest appearance from the band’s original vocalist Liz "Dizzy Lizzy" Hewson delighted the crowd. The electric atmosphere is captured in these recordings.
